Join us as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the publication of The Wealth of Nations
The Adam Smith Festival of Ideas is an annual celebration held in Kirkcaldy, honouring the life, legacy, and ideas of Adam Smith. Each year, the Festival brings together inspiring speakers, leading thinkers, and curious minds to explore the ideas shaping our society, culture, and economy. Everyone is warmly welcome to join this open and inclusive space for dialogue, reflection, and inspiration.
One of the highlights of this year’s Festival is a landmark symposium marking the 250th anniversary of The Wealth of Nations.
During the symposium "Future of the Economy", Ed Balls and Stephanie Flanders will be gaining insights from the Governor of the Bank of England and Nobel Minds.
A major highlight of the symposium will be the presence of internationally renowned Nobel Prize laureates in economics, who will join the discussion on stage to explore the future of the global economy. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to hear directly from them and engage with their insights during a live Q&A session.
Set in Adam Smith’s hometown, this special event offers a unique moment to connect history with the future, bringing together ideas, insight, and global perspectives at a pivotal time for the world economy.
