About the event

Discover the town through the eyes of one of Scotland’s greatest thinkers and walk the very streets that shaped his ideas.


On this guided walking tour, you’ll explore key historical locations connected to Smith’s life and legacy in Kirkcaldy – from his birthplace to places that inspired his work. Along the way, you’ll hear fascinating stories from the 18th century and get a deeper understanding of the world that influenced The Theory of Moral Sentiments and The Wealth of Nations.


The tour lasts around one hour and this special edition begins at Fife College main entrance and finsihes at the Adam Smith Heritage Centre.
